Merry Christmas! I hope that you all had a good Christmas. We enjoyed our day with Preston waking up at 6:00a.m. I told him to wait for someone else to wake up which I know was pure torture. Then he went back to sleep and Ethan woke up a little after 7:00a.m. so we decided to wake everyone up. It was fun having Uncle Jake with us for Christmas. Kayt was in heaven and showed him everything and then he was her designated holder of her toys. The girls loved their dress up outfit from Santa and had to put them on immediately. The boys were excited about the legos Santa brought and played with them throughout the day. It was a fun day and the kids were good. We had a hard time getting grandparents here with my folks trying to make it up here from New Mexico and Nate's parents were snowed in their home. Around 2:30 p.m. they both joined us for Christmas dinner and it was great to spend a little time together. We just enjoyed spending time together and spending time as a family.

Christmas Eve at the Kohler household. They wanted to open a present so we let them. The boys thought it would be a toy and were sad that it was p-j's but they all looked so cute in their pajamas on Christmas morning.

Allyson's 3rd Birthday

Allyson turned three on Saturday! We had a good day that started with her favorite breakfast, maple donuts. Then we went to McDonalds for lunch and let the kids run wild in the play ground. That afternoon we worked on her cake and played around. That evening we had her favorite, not ours, macaroni and cheese with hot dogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Gramps and Mawga came to celebrate with us and watched as she blew out her candles and opened her presents. She also had a fun visit from Aunt Rain, Dan and Nolan. She really enjoyed her day and enjoyed all of the fun calls and cards she received from Uncles, Aunts and cousins. She is sure growing up and I am enjoying it as we get to watch girls shows, paint our nails and all of those fun girls things.

Kayt declared that she needed to use the toilet, of course she did not use it, but she sure was proud.

Allyson Napping

Allyson must have had a long day at church. She went to the table to work on her puzzle while I was working on dinner and she fell asleep.

Ethan Monster Concert

Ethan participated in a Monster Concert. He played a duet with friend Megan and they played the same song as about 20 other kids. It was a fun experience for him and I think he learned alot.

We decided to get the girls ears pierced while we were visiting cousins for Thanksgiving. They were all nervous except Kayt who cried the most. I think that she was only crying because we had to hold her down to get her to hold still. Allyson cried because the one gun got stuck on her ear and they could not get it off. Of course Marolyn's girls did great and were so very brave. They all were excited and happy once the earings were in. My girls will show them off to anyone that will pay attention to them. Nolan went along for the ride but knew that boys do not get their ears pierced!

For our Thanksgiving craft we decided to make Turkey's. The kids had fun making and eating the Turkey's. Poor Nolan had Kayt trying to eat his turkey. He is patient with her though because she calls him Nano. She is the only one allowed to call him that name he says. Everyone else has to use a different name.

The first weekend of October we took a short family vacation to Island Park and Yellowstone Park. We enjoyed seeing the park and the sites. The girls loved the Buffalo. The boys love Old Faithful. It was cold and started to snow as we drove through the higher elevations in the park. It was a good vacation though and so nice to get away.
